  Our recent achievements include the 2002 Australian Awards for University Teaching for our Learning Connection online initiative; the Prime Minister’s Award for University of the Year, 2000; being named IDP’s Number One Australian University for Offshore Students, 2001 and 2003; and Australian Export Awards in 1999, 2000 and 2001.

      This rich multidisciplinary history has created an institution that has made its distinctive mark on the Australian higher education landscape. The strengths of the arts and sciences, technology and the humanities have complemented one another, providing the basis for innovative joint degrees which enable today’s students to become the broadly based graduates required by the next century.

    The University’s four divisions offer the widest range of professional education programs of any university in South Australia. They are Business and Enterprise; Education, Arts and Social Sciences; Health Sciences; Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment. Programs are based on areas of research strength and community need & support priority areas for local and regional development.
