About The Programme
The course satisfies the demand for graduates with media technology knowledge alongside practical skills in writing software. Unlike many art-focused degrees, which only teach the technical aspects of design, this course addresses the steps in programming required to build the game using programming from scratch. Student will not only gain a thorough understanding of modern computer technology, but also a solid knowledge of how the latest sound, graphics and video technology works.
In addition to core computer science modules, your studies will also concentrate on multimedia technology and interactive media. You will gain a solid understanding of the hardware and software aspects of capturing and storing sound and images in a digital form. You will explore the techniques involved in producing your own creative digital media. The principles of animation are featured – where programming is taught using high and low level programming tools. Digital image editing and manipulation, together with video editing and distribution are also examined.
This programme take an in-depth look at advanced aspects of image and sound processing, as well as multimedia communication. You will undertake an individual high-level design project investigating an application of multimedia technology.
Upon Completion
Upon Completion of the course, student will be awarded with a BSc (Hons) Computer Science (Multimedia Technology) degree.You could find employment in a variety of fields from entertainment (radio, TV, cinema), manufacturing (multimedia interfaces in domestic and industrial products), to the commercial arena (marketing and publishing in shops, banks, insurance etc.)Successful completion of the course will also allow you to continue your studies at postgraduate level.
Programme Structure
The Bachelor programme is a course catered to the needs of working adults in the IT industry, as well as fresh Diploma graduates majoring in the Computer Engineering or IT field. The benefits of the programme are in providing computer engineers with sound project management as well as advance software engineering skills which are required in major IT companies, Software companies and E-Commerce industries. The double project aims to give the candidate problem solving case studies to apply their knowledge and skills and prepare them for real world work scenarios.
The programme consists of 6 modules (including 2 projects) over a duration of 12 months. The examinations are set and prepared through the University’s moderation and lessons delivered by approved faculty lecturers in Singapore.
Core Modules
Students have to complete six core modules and a project.
The class is taught by Industry experts and certified professionals with 5 to 10 years of experience with practical examples in lecture settings.The delivery method consists of 60 % practical and 40% professional theory training keeping industry demands in mind. The training is conducted in a fully equipped and conducive learning environment. The course coverage is mapped as per university norms and exam requirement as well.

§ Written Exams for all Modules. Each 100 marks paper.
